Academy High is built on a foundation known as “The Six C’s,” which will produce six powerful outcomes essential to the 21st Century learner: Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Character, and Cosmopolitanism (Cross-Cultural Competency).

Quality schooling in the present day cannot simply involve teaching subjects – it must focus on essential skills and values that result in graduates who are ethical and successful contributors and leaders in their families, communities, workplaces, and the world.

Like its academic curriculum, Academy High has embedded maps for each of these characteristics into the foundation of the school, with the expectation that project-based learning, inquiry learning, expeditionary learning, and the like will engage students in real-world problem solving, where “just in time” learning replaces “just in case” learning. Academy High believes that it is better serving students by focusing on organizing knowledge and skills in the service of applications.
